Trot in the sun (ponyplay/sulky)

T: spring is here. Not that I would not like our dungeon; it comes handy during the winter. But a ride outdoors will not harm anyone. My pony needs some training after long winter. So, let's weld up a sulky, check the harness and let's go.

L: I was always sorry that I can't bear his weight. I am glad that he found a way to surpass the merciless law of gravity.

Hitching.

T: I pack my tools, fix the wheels to the sulky while my pony, kneeling, awaits furhter instructions. "Stand up", we leave the house and very soon she can begin exploring the feeling of the sulky bumping along pebbled road. She's not hitched to the sulky yet, neighbors are around. This will change on the first meadow we reach. We have arrived at the meadow - I remove her clothes and replace it with wide leather belt, halter and tail. You'll have to get without your hands - I tie them behind your back.

L: today, we will try the sulky for the first time. I relish the idea so much... At the same time, I am uncertain whether I will be able to pull it and whether I will correctly react to the reins.

Limb off the devil....

T: first few meters on cart road shows that the ride is much more difficult than during the break-in training in our living room. My pony labours hard to pull me. I believe that time and exercise will make this more funny for both of us. I hold in, you stop, and I grin at you - we will move on in a while; I see that you are not so rampant as you have been minutes ago. Suddenly, you poke your tongue at me, as if you'd like to say - Master, I am not tired, not at all. Let's move on, let's feel the wind!

L: "so-ho". I stop. I am curious what is to happen - I would love to go on. Is my Master afraid that I can't go on? I feel full of energy. I poke my tongue at him, paw - he should see that I like out outdoor ride.

Warning, transport of horses!.

T: on our first ride, I have found out that the sulky needs some modifications. Before our second ride, I have modified the sulky accordingly. I have tested that everything was OK now. But one has never enough. What about a ride in a castle park? How about trying whether the sulky is transportable by car? How about testing whether our car can transport a pony? Well then, the sulky (disassembled) is already stored in the boot, some trap is there as well and you, my little, get in the boot as well. I want you covered so that no one notices you at our next stop, the petrol station...

L: I knew that he prepared something special for today. Of course, horses cannot travel on front seat in a car. Let's get to the boot. I draw the blanket over me. The car suddenly stops. We have only travelled several hundred meters! Before I realize that we have stopped at petrol station, the boot opens and he withdraws the blanket from me. Is there a next car behind us? A random walker-by? Hopefully not.

Before we begin.

T: we walk along massive stone road and, finding a small gate, we enter. Castle garden is quiet, the Sun is setting down and there is no one around. It seems we will not drive over anyone. I tackle you under a tree. I straighten your bridle and we can begin.

L: the bushes lining the paths are nicely cut and very high. No one can see us. The paths are covered with white gravel - quite a race track. How will I trot?

The ride is almost over.

T: I get into the seat, my pony lifts her head and pulls the reins. I touch her with my crop. We ride out. Turning the first corner, castle garden unfold before our eyes. It seems that my pony slows down when the bushes are no longer 2 meters high. Now the path is lined with only 40 cm ones. Now she once again lunged forward.

L: the sulky bounces along the gravel path. Left, right, as the reins direct me. So-ho! Stop! Turn around! I strive to turn the sulky at the smallest possible diameter. The path is really narrow, will I manage it? I do not want to down my Master to the bushes...
